The Day After Tomorrow

Hurricanes, tornados, tidal waves and sub-freezing temperatures are just some of the catastrophic weather conditions that take place in the disaster film The Day After Tomorrow. Dennis Quaid is a climatologist who tries to warn the world (a little to late) that the greenhouse affect has caused an irreversible ice age. Now he and his two friends have to walk to New York City in below freezing temperatures to save his son who is there because of a scholastic competition. Yes, the 3 must have more testosterone then brains then to go out into a world ending snow storm. This movie is corny, cheesy, and unbelievable and I would make a more realistic brain surgeon then Dennis Quaid as a climatologist. It does have good special affects and it’s also entertaining. Because this science fiction thriller has both good and bad I’m giving it a C rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA
