For a Good Time Call
If you like Girl buddy movies and don’t mind a lot of vulgar sex talk you may enjoy the comedy For a Good Time Call. Lauren Miller and Ari Graynor play 2 women in their late 20’s who are each looking for a roommate when they are brought together by their mutual friend played by Justin Long. The two women don’t like each other but after they become roommates and they need money they start up a phone sex line and a friendship emerges until a misunderstanding splits them up. (Even I saw that one coming) I don’t necessarily care for raunchy language and what would you expect in a movie with this title but I was actually somewhat surprised. Even though it was a low budget film that was made in 16 days Lauren Miller and Ari Graynor had great chemistry and the entire cast was good. Lauren Miller is the wife of Seth Rogen and he did have a cameo along with Kevin Smith as phone callers. The movie had several laughs and even had its tender moments but unfortunately it just wasn’t very imaginative. The viewers and listeners in my case had to be subjected to a melodramatic breakup just in time to end the movie in just under an hour and a half. I’m giving this smutty but also sweet film a C+ rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
