Jack and Jill

Jays Rating:

Adam Sandler is one of my favorite comedic actors but for some reason I was a little skeptical of his film Jack and Jill. Jack played by Adam Sandler is a marketing director who lives a normal life with his kids and wife played by Katie Holmes until his twin sister Jill also played by Adam Sandler visits him for Thanksgiving. Jack tries everything he can to get rid of the passive aggressive Jill but soon needs her when she catches the eye of actor Al Pacino and Jack has to Have Pacino sign an advertising deal with Dunkin Doughnuts. All of Adam Sandler’s films are formulaic but at least they are funny. In this movie Jokes fall flat, the script is uninspiring and Sandler looks like he is only there for a paycheck. (Okay I guess that is why we would all be there) There is so much product placement it is almost ridiculous. Of course they have to pay for Adam Sandler’s salary some way and if Dunkin Doughnuts gave me a years worth of free doughnuts I would mention it in my reviews. (Hey Dunkin Doughnuts there is 3 times so far) There are so many cameo’s I can’t even mention all of the names of the actors. I was told blindness is a blessing and I thought it was because the film was so bad but my wife said it is because I didn’t have to see Adam Sandler dressed up as a woman. Okay, there were a couple funny moments and at least it ended on a humorous high note with Al Pacino performing the Dunk-a-cino rap. This may be the worst Adam Sandler film ever and I’m giving it a D+ rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
