Our Idiot Brother
The big blockbusters are basically finished for the summer but there are still some good films out there such as the comedy Our Idiot Brother. Paul Rudd plays a naive organic farmer who sells pot to a uniformed police officer and goes to jail. When he is released for good behavior he takes turns living with his 3 sisters played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer until his habit of telling the truth gets him in trouble with them. This film is written for Paul Rudd who really makes his character come to life. The audience will feel empathy for his character that is innocent, endearing and loveable. All of the main characters are fantastic and even a couple of the supporting cast are great but maybe some of the distant supporting cast should have been a little more distant. This is one of those films that you will not be laughing out loud every couple minutes but it has its emotional parts and you do leave the film with a smile on your face. I’m giving this charming film a B rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
