Horrible Bosses

If you have dreamed of killing your boss then the comedy Horrible Bosses may be for you. When friends played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis decide to kill their bosses they hire a murder consultant played by Jamie Foxx to give them tips on how to murder them and look like an accident. The 3 bumbling idiots plan to kill a manipulative boss played by Kevin Spacey, the cocaine addicted son played by Colin Farrell of another now deceased boss played by Donald Sutherland and last of all a Dentist played by Jennifer Aniston who sexually harasses her male dental assistant. (I’m having a hard time understanding the horrible situation with that last boss) I have to admit I attended my screening with some reservations but they were soon put at rest. This film begins fast with the story being somewhat plausible, has some twists and turns and then slides into corny and over the top but the script is written so well you don’t even notice. What really makes this film work is the great execution and comedic timing from its stellar all star cast. As expected it’s has some raunchy jokes, nasty one-liners but it’s the off-color language by the squeaky clean Jennifer Anniston that will surprise you and make everybody laugh. (Why can’t I have her as my dentist?) Even though the pacing is so good I smiled or laughed the whole way through I never had any of those belly laughs that happens at least once in every hilarious comedy. This is one of the year’s best comedies and I’m giving it a B rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
