Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son

Jays Rating:

The comedy Big Mama released in 2000 had its funny moments and Big Mama 2 from 2006 was even less funny and five years later for some reason we have the Third installment Big Mama, Like Father Like Son. When Martin Lawrence who plays an F.B.I. agent finds out his 17 year old stepson played by Brandon T. Jackson witnessed a murder they both have to go undercover at a all girls school dressed as Big Mama an her niece Charmaine. Big mama is the dorm mother and along with blending in with the rest of the women (Right) and hiding Charmaine from the killer they have to find a flashdrive that is hidden somewhere in the school that has incriminating information about the villains. What’s worse then having a guy dressing up as a fat woman in 3 different movies? The answer is having two guys dress up as fat women in the third film. I’m really not sure why they made the third movie except that it is fairly popular which leads me to the next question. Why is it popular? The jokes are flat out unfunny, the plot is to lazy to make sense and the most illogical scene was Big Mama posing nude for a class. (Thank goodness I couldn’t see it and I just want to put it out of my minds eye) Martin Lawrence is okay as Big Mama and there were a couple cute scenes with the supposed teenagers but that is stretching the good points. This film was so dry and dull it seems appropriate to give it a D rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
