Salt

Combine James Bond, Jason Bourne and MacGyver and make them female and you will have the hero of the newest action, thriller Salt. Angelina Jolie is Evelyn Salt a CIA agent who is on the run after a Russian defector walks into CIA headquarters and says she is a double agent. Salt not only has to find out where her husband is being held but she has to track down the Russian president while being chased buy CIA and Russian agents along with the New York police force. This film has some of the most ridiculous escape and chase scenes while having plot holes big enough that if Salt was dropped in the middle she couldn’t even escape. There was a scene with salt and a taser that was so absurd and comical I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it myself. (That’s right I didn’t see it and I still can’t believe it) I know this sounds like this is one of those films that I didn’t like because it’s so unrealistic, predictable and so on. Even though everything I said is correct I still enjoyed it immensely. The concept itself is pretty good and Angelina Jolie sells this action film as a female spy. Originally Tom Cruise was offered this role but the script was rewritten and offered to Jolie and it couldn’t have worked out any better. I’m going to give this really fun popcorn flick a B- rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
