The A-Team

In the 1980’s one of the corniest, silliest action packed television shows was on the air and twenty-five years later The A Team hits the big screen. When Arabs plan to use counterfeit engraving plates to print hundred dollar bills The A Team led by Hannibal played by Liam Neeson and the rest of the team made up of Faceman played by Bradley Cooper, Murdock played by Sharlto Copley and B.A. Baracus played by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson break out of various military prisons to find the plates. In the mean time a defense department agent played by Jessica Biel along with various other people are after the A Team to put them back in jail or just want to find them for other reasons. This film knows it’s ridiculous as did the television show and plays to it. When a tank is falling from the sky full of the A Team and they shoot the big gun in different directions to guide it to a lake where it splashes down safely you know you better have your expectations really low for any type of sensible plot. Expect dozens of vehicle chase scenes, lots of shooting and loads of explosions. (In fact the A Team caused so much damage they better find the engraving plates so they can print some money to pay for everything they destroyed) As expected this film is characters and entertainment over substance and unfortunately it wasn’t as funny as I would have liked but I enjoyed revisiting some of my favorite characters from my youth and I will give it a C rating.

This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
