Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Kids and adults will be happy that our sub-zero friends are back for a third installment of the animated film Ice Age, Dawn of the Dinosaurs. When Manny (Voice by Ray Romano) and Ellie (Voice by Queen Latifah) are expecting a baby mammoth Diego the saber tooth tiger (Voice by Denis Leary) decides to leave the herd. In the meantime Sid the Sloth (Voice by John Leguizamo) finds 3 dinosaur eggs and when they hatch Sid and the 3 baby’s are taken by the mother to an underground lost world. This film felt like the writers wrote the story around the jokes instead of writing the jokes for the story. Of course this is the third film so it’s hard to find anything original. For some reason I like all of the Ice Age movies and this one is no different. It has some funny one-liners, a fantastic sound track, pop culture references and best of all scratch the squirrel. I know one of the big problems is that everybody knows that there were no dinosaurs in the Ice Age but I also know there were no talking mammoths. This movie is in 3D and I lucked out because since I can’t see it I didn’t have to wear the goofy glasses. I actually like this film a little better then the second one and I’m giving it a B- rating.
This movie has been given a PG rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
