Clint Eastwood directs and stars as a 78 year old action hero in the drama Gran Torino. Clint Eastwood plays a retired auto worker who has an arsenal of weapons in his house and sits on his porch all day drinking beer and complaining about the different nationalities moving into his neighborhood. When he breaks up a fight between a gang and his Asian neighbor he finds himself being drawn into their lives despite his gruff outward appearance. I don’t see anybody but Clint Eastwood playing this character. He is mean, gruff and no body can say “Get off my lawn) like this Dirty Harry on social security. There are several colorful characters in this film and it has a story that is fantastic and will make the whole audience think about. The one minor complaint is that all characters are black and white and I don’t mean physically but it is obvious who are the good or bad guy. I would recommend this film to everyone but be warned the language is pretty crude. Of course without it this film would not be as good and with my comments about bad language that is saying plenty. I’m giving this drama that has just the right mix of action and humor an A- rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
