If you enjoy sports comedies where the underdog team somehow finds a way to win you may enjoy the film Semi-pro. Will Ferrell plays a basketball team owner in the 1970’s who is trying to merge his semi-pro basketball team the Flint Tropics with the NBA. He brings in an ex-NBA star played by Woody Harrelson who is past his prime along with adding different promotional stunts to boost the audience attendance. This may be Will Farrell’s worst film. The plot is thin, the script is formulaic, and for some reason they think swearing and sex jokes will make it funny. (This is another one of those films that I wish I was deaf instead of blind. Will Farrell fans will probably check out this film. It is funny at times and when I left the theater I wasn’t demanding my money back for a free screening. Since I’m one of those Will Farrell fans I’m going to give this film a C- rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
