The Mist

If you are interested in an examination of human nature you will definitely enjoy the horror film made from Stephen King’s short story titled The Mist. Thomas James plays a man who takes his son to the grocery store for supplies after a freak storm hits the area. While in the store a man runs into the store all bloody and says something is in the mist that has rolled in and for the next day a group of people fight against themselves and whatever is outside. This is more then a horror film but also a brilliant Dialogue driven movie. The acting is top notch and the audience becomes emotionally attached to the characters. Yes it is somewhat clicheic with people leaving the group to be attacked and worst of all they send a man outside into the mist with just a rope around his waist. (I heard of soap on a rope but I guess this was a meal on a rope for the monsters.) Even though this film has a couple small inconsistencies it’s very well made and I’m giving it an A-rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
