If your interested in watching a film that borrows from Hitchcock’s film “Rear Window” (not in the same category though) you will not want to miss the thriller Disturbia. Shia LaBeouf plays a troubled teenager who becomes bored when he is put under house arrest so he begins watching his neighbors. Life is great while he spies on his pretty young neighbor played by Sarah Roemer while she undresses in front of her window but things turn deadly when he begins watching another neighbor played by David Morse who he thinks is a serial killer. This film had great potential. It begins with a car crash scene that is one of the best in years. The movie is suspenseful and intriguing till the last 20 minutes then it turns into a slasher film. It have some plot holes and lapses in logic and I was a little disterbiaed by some of the acting. (Yes I had to say it.) Don’t expect much substance with this film but I was entertained and I’m giving it a C+ rating.

This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
