Blades of Glory
One of the funniest films so far this year and I guarantee will be a crowd pleaser is the hilarious comedy Blades of Glory. Will Farrell and John Heder play archrival ice skaters who are stripped of their medals and banned from skating after they fight on the stands at the World Championship. After a miserable three and a half years they put aside their differences and find a loop hole so they can compete together in couple figure skating. (Don’t worry this isn’t like the other movie with the two cowboys.) This film makes fun of the costumes, music and everything else surrounding ice skating. It has a lot of sexual references and crude jokes but I’m not complaining since I laughed so hard I couldn’t see. (Okay I couldn’t see before I started laughing.) Farrell and Heeders comedic timing is excellent and everybody in the supporting cast was at the top of their game. I’m giving this hysterical film a B+ rating.
This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
