Because I Said So
Romantic-comedies usually revolve around problems between men and women but the film Because I Said So is about a strained mother daughter relationship. Diane Keaton plays an over the top single mother of 3 daughters and thinks it’s her business to look for a husband for her youngest daughter played by Mandy Moore. Without her daughters knowledge she begins interviewing men she found through the on line personal ads for her to date. This film has a lot of sexual innuendoes, a couple witty lines and even moves into some slapstick. The romance in this movie is really cheesy, Diane Keaton is overacting and the whole story is unreal. With all of those negative comments I didn’t leave the film dissatisfy. Why? Because I said so. (I have wanted to say that since my son moved out of the house.) I’m giving this slightly entertaining Chick flick a C rating.
This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
