The Pursuit of Happyness
Jays Rating: B. I'm glad I could hear it.
Actors: Jaden Smith / Will Smith
Director: Gabriele Muccino
A heart rending film you won’t soon forget and that’s probably because it’s based on a true story is the dramatic comedy The Pursuit of Happyness. Will Smith plays a medical equipment salesman whose wife leaves him after he can’t pay the rent leaving him to take care of his 5 year old son played by Jaden Smith. In his goal to become a stock broker he enters an unpaid internship with Dean Witter but the two have to sleep in cheap hotels, homeless shelters and even public bathroom before he is hired. This is a meaningful heartfelt film that has a go for your dreams message. Will Smith performance is honest and believable but Jaden his son in real life steals the movie. Yes it does have a transparent plot (even I could see through it) but it’s emotional, funny and entertaining. I’m giving this charming film a B rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
