Director Michael Mann was in charge of one of the most popular television cop shows in the 80’s and he returns to direct the crime action films Miami Vice. Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx play two Miami cops Sonny and Tubbs who are undercover and are transporting drugs to south Florida. They use fast cars, boats and planes along with their guns in order to catch a dangerous arms and drugs trafficker. This film doesn’t have anything in common with the television show except the name of the movie and the main characters. With plenty of drugs, violence and sex it’s definitely one for the adults. It has colorful characters, a tempo that builds to the last scene and a sound track that is very good (especially if you like loud music.) Loud is the last thing I need with my sensitive hearing even though I couldn’t understand some of the dialogue in the film. (Either sloppy editing or just thick accents.) This film isn’t my cup of tea but I’m still giving it a B- rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
