The Lake House
If you have been waiting for a chick flick and aren’t too picky about what you are seeing then you are probably safe to check out the romantic fantasy The Lake House. Keanu Reeves plays an architect and Sandra Bullock plays a doctor who moves into the same Lake House and begins to fall in Love. The problem is that one lives in 2004 and the other in 2006 and the only way they communicate is by a magic mailbox. Don’t worry this film isn’t as stupid as it sounds. In fact I’m conflicted about this tender romantic movie. I like that it takes chances with the story and the performances by Reeves and Bullock were what held the film together. On the down side they never explain how a mailbox has a time warp or what ever it is inside. Also, the middle of the movie flounders and there is no excitement or real passion. I would have solved those problems by having someone insert their hand, a firecracker or maybe a cat in the mailbox and watch the action when someone opens it 2 years in the past or future. This film could have and should have been better and I’m giving it a C rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
