Jays Rating:

From the creator of the classic movie Jumanji comes another adventure film about a board game called Zathura. Two young brothers played by Jonah Bobo and Josh Hutcherson are board and find a strange board game in their basement. The game comes to life with meteors, astronauts, robots and alien lizards appearing in their house. One of the best things about this film was that the relationship between the two boys looked realistic. It was also entertaining and from what I understand the special affects were eye popping. Of course since I couldn’t see it my eyes are still in my head. Unfortunately the story was a little confusing, the plot was flat and unlike Jumanji the jokes were not funny where they should have been. I’m sure the kids will love it though and I’m going to give it a C+ rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
