An Unfinished Life
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a movie that is touching and heart warming you won’t want to miss the drama Unfinished Life. Robert Redford plays a rancher who lives on his farm taking care of his friend who has been mauled by a bear played by Morgan Freeman. (Don’t you hate it when that happens.) When his ex-daughter-in law played by Jennifer Lopez and her daughter show up on his doorstep after running away from an abusive boyfriend everybody’s life changes. The high point in this film is the outstanding performances by Redford and Freeman. Lopez manages to do an adequate job and at least her acting was on par with the talented 11 year old Becca Gardner and even better then one of the horses. This is a simple film full of heart and emotion but it doesn’t have any real depth and sometimes feels kind of – well – unfinished. I do like that this film focuses on people instead of special affects and I’m giving it a B rating.
This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
