With films about super hero’s popping up almost every month Disney brings a super hero movie for the kids appropriately called Sky High. (No this is not about kids on drugs.) Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston play 2 super hero parents with a son who is about to begin high school along with other super hero kids. Unfortunately their 14 year old son played by Michael Angarano hasn’t developed his super powers yet making his freshman year even more anxious then the normal teenager. This cliché on super hero’s movies has a suitable amount of action, humor and clever dialogue. I just wish the script would have been a little more original but most of all it felt condescending with a “be yourself” message that was so obvious that even I could see it from the parking lot. This film is not bad and the kids will love it but it’s far from super and I’m giving it a C+ rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
