Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason
A chick flick that has been eagerly anticipated is the romantic comedy Bridget Jones, The Edge of Reason. Renee Zellweger is back as the British journalist Bridget Jones and her relationship with her boyfriend played by Colin Firth is already in trouble. First she is jealous of his beautiful intern and when her ex-boyfriend played by Hugh Grant steps back in the picture it make matters even worse. This sequel just didn’t come together as well as its predecessor. It’s has some funny one liners and limited slapstick comedy but the plot and dialogue aren’t as crisp as the first. I mentioned the first movie was a good date movie and I tried to take a date but my wife wouldn’t allow me. This time I didn’t even want to take a date. It may not have been the best film but at least I didn’t fall asleep and I’m giving it a C rating.
This movie has been given a R rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
