For all of you movie buffs who like to be shocked or scared will probably enjoy the mystery-thriller The Forgotten. Julianne Moore plays a grieving mother who is trying to cope with the loss of her 8 year old son in an airplane accident. When everything that reminds her of her son disappears and her therapists played by Gary Sinise along with her husband and everyone else tells her she never has a son and it’s all in her mind she embarks in a mission to prove them wrong. This film had a great premise when it began as a suspense-thriller but it then turned into a science fiction movie something like the X-files. The performances were great and several times I jumped out of my seat with some well timed scares. In fact I missed a couple minutes of the movie feeling for my seat after one of the big jumps. This film could have been better but it was still very entertaining and I’m giving it a B- rating
This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
