Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid

Jays Rating:

Crocodiles, deadly spiders and head hunters all make their appearance in the action, adventure film Anacondas, the Hunt for the Blood Orchid. Johnny Messner plays a Tarzan-wanta-be who pilots his boat up a river in the rainforests of Borneo taking a scientific expedition to find a rare flower called the blood Orchid. The leader of the group played by Salli Richardson pushes the group until they are attacked by a giant Anaconda which receives its length, speed and cunning from eating the Blood Orchid. It’s a far stretch (no pun intended) to believe that snakes eat flowers and can become fast as well as smart. Then you also wouldn’t have a hard time believing the laughable dialogue, lousy acting and the poor quality of the entire movie. Can you say cheap? For all of you Jennifer Lopaz fans there is a J-low look-a-like minus the big booty. I guess they were trying to save more money and not have to use the wide screen. It was some-what entertaining and could have been worse (I’m not sure how) and I’m giving it a D+ rating.
