The Punisher
Jays Rating: C. I had one eye open.
Actors: John Travolta
Director: Jonathan Hensleigh
I can promise you won’t be bored with the latest movie made from a Marvel comic book character The Punisher. Thomas Jane plays an ex-Delta Force operator and an F.B.I. agent whose life is changed when a Tampa businessman with mob ties played by John Travolta seeks revenge after his son is killed on and F.B.I. raid. His life’s work begins as the Punisher when there is a hit on him and his family and he survives. This film is very brutal and violent and doesn’t feel like a super hero movie. It’s more like your typical action revenge flick. I thought the acting was good and the story was adequate with a few corny one-liners. Because this film was made in Tampa and it’s exciting I’m recommending it even though I’m only giving it a C rating. You may even see a blind guy going into a movie theater in Tampa.
This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA
