The Big Bounce
You may be excited about the celebrity cast in the comedy-caper, The Big Bounce. I don’t mean to give away how bad it was, but it should have been called The Big Bomb. Jack Ryan (Owen Wilson) is a con man living and working in Hawaii stealing from the tourists who visit the Island. Jack becomes friends with a judge named Walter Crewes (Morgan Freeman) who tries to keep him out of trouble. I don’t even know why this character was in this film. In fact, I don’t know why they made this stupid movie. Jack also becomes involved with Nancy (Sara Foster) the girlfriend of Ray Ritchie (Gary Sinise) who is a rich real estate tycoon and a rival of the judge. Nancy tells Jack with his special talents she knows where they can steal two hundred thousand dollars. As if there isn’t enough happening, a thug named Bob (Charlie Sheen) keeps an eye on Jack to see what he’s up to. This film has lousy characters, bad acting, no development, a predictable plot, and lame humor. The only bright spot in this movie is the beautiful Hawaiian scenery but I’m blind and I can’t see it anyway. I’m still not sure why such an all star cast would choose to be in a sorry film like this. Like I’ve said before, “This movie was so bad if I could have found the door to the theater I would have left.” I’m generously giving this bomb a D rating.
This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
