Elf

Just in time for Christmas comes an enjoyable holiday family film called Elf. Will Farrell plays an Elf (he is over 6 foot tall) who feels out of place with regular elves in the North Pole. When he finds out he isn’t a real elf (okay he’s not to smart either) he decides to go to New York to meet his real father played by James Caan. He’s innocent of the ways of the big city and has everything happen you would expect when walking around New York in an elf suet. This is an entertaining film and a good concept for a Christmas story. It has some humor but it isn’t extremely funny. I know the children really enjoyed it because they were so quiet the only thing I heard in the theater was me eating my large bag of extra buttered popcorn. This isn’t one of your top movies but it will probably be a Christmas classic and I’m giving it a C rating.
