A heart warming film that the whole family will enjoy is based on a true story called Radio. Ed Harris plays a coach of a local high school football team in South Carolina who takes a mentally challenged young man named radio played by Cuba Gooding Jr. and makes him assistant coach and head cheerleader. When some of the town’s folks find out they put pressure on the coach to not allow Radio to be with the team. This is a compassionate, touching film that can make you feel happy and sad. I enjoyed the movie except when they tried to manipulate my emotions with the typical evil white southerner, Radio’s pure intensions and speeches with phrases like “We aren’t teaching Radio, Radio is teaching us”. Gag, I’m not Blind, I’m only blind in one eye, I just can’t see out of the other. I still liked this movie and I’m giving it a B rating.
