Finally! A chick flick that all even guys will enjoy; a romantic, dramatic comedy called Under the Tuscan Sun. Frances Mayes (Diane Lane) is a 35 year old writer who has just gone through a heartbreaking divorce. When her friend Patty (Sandra Oh) sends her on a little vacation to Tuscany, Italy she falls in love with the area and buys a run down villa to fix up and live in. She hires a contractor and his 3 polish workers (Im reluctantly staying away from all Polish jokes) to remodel her newly acquired, used house. In the meantime, Frances begins falling for a local Italian guy named Marcello (Raoul Bova) in the hopes of putting her past behind her. One of the polish workers falls in love with a local Italian girl, much to the disappointment of her parents. Even with the remodeling of her house and her own relationship problems, Frances helps the new couple and in turn it makes her life happier. This is a warm, genuinely funny, exceptional film that spares us the stupid clichs that are in most comedies. The acting is superb, there are great sub-plots and plenty of colorful characters. No, I dont know what color they were but they were very interesting. I give this wonderful chick-and-guy flick an A rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
