Delightful, heartwarming, magical and funny are just a few of the words that describe the sequel, The Santa Clause 2. It’s been 8 years since Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) has put on the Santa Clause suit, yet he now works at the North Pole throughout the year to deliver presents every Christmas Eve. This Christmas is different though. The oldest elf at the North Pole named Curtis and the Head Elf Bernard tell Scott – or should I say “Santa” – that he has missed an important clause in his Santa contract he signed 8 years before. Even though it’s a month before Christmas and the busiest time of the year for Santa he has to go home and find a wife before Christmas Eve. He leaves a robotic life-like Santa in charge of the North Pole and he goes home to find a wife and talk to his teenage son Charlie who, to Scott’s embarrassment, is now on the naughty list. Of course, if you check with my mom, she would say as a teenager I was never off the naughty list. When Scott has one of his reindeer fly him home, he goes straight to the principals office to get Charlie out of trouble. When Scott and the very attractive school Principal named Carol meet outside the school to discuss Charlie’s problems, romantic feelings begin to emerge. (I never remember having a pretty principal during my school years.) This is a charming film that will give you a full range of emotions. Surprisingly, this movie is as good as the first Santa Clause. I had to say that because I’m still trying to get off the naughty list. This film is fun for the entire family and I give it a B rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
