Pop star Britney Spears stars in her first movie, a teenage road trip chick-flick called Crossroads. After graduating high school, Lucy (Britney Spears) goes on a road trip with her two best friends Mimi and Kit to search for her estranged mother. None of the girls have a car (can you say “losers”) so they enlist the help of Ben (Anson Mount) a guy who is rumored to be an ex-convict, because they need him to drive. On the way to California their radiator blows and the four travelers have to enter a karaoke contest to earn enough money to fix the car. Yes, this is where you hear Britney attempting to sing. Of course they win the contest, collect the money, and continue their trip. In the mean time, romance begins to blossom between Ben and Lucy and we are forced to watch a romantic scene. The group finally arrives in California, Lucy meets her mother, and the film actually gets worse. Well, the bright side of this film is that the music is okay, but the acting is horrible and the story is silly. The only thing some people may like (the men) is Britney dancing around in her underwear. Besides those men, the only people that may like this movie are mindless 14-year-old girls. I generously give it a D rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
