A must see film for all you wrestling fans and an O.K. comedy for all you normal people is Ready to Rumble. In this parody of wrestling, two overzealous fans, Gordie (David Arquette) and Sean (Scott Caan) go ballistic when their hero, Jimmy “The King” loses his championship belt. Jimmy disappears after losing the championship match to “Diamond Dallas” Page, so Gordie and Sean begin hunting all over the country for him. They find him hiding out in an old camper and try to encourage him to come back and wrestle Page. They hire a wrestling coach named Sal to help build his confidence and teach him a few new wrestling moves. If he really wanted to be a good wrestler, he should have had an acting coach so he could make those fake punches and kicks look real. With the help of Gordie and Sean, Jimmy The King finally finds the nerve to challenge Diamond Dallas Page to a new wrestling match. Page’s promoter ups the ante and makes it a Steel- Cage match worth one million dollars and the championship belt. This is one of those films you only see for entertainment. Although you won’t find a great story or good acting, you will find a few good jokes and some sidesplitting humor. You don’t necessarily have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy this movie, but it would help. I’m not a wrestling fan, but I can’t see so I have an excuse for walking in the wrong theater for this goofy picture. It was okay and I gave it a C rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
