Wild Wild West

An action packed movie that involves comedy, the old West, and science fiction is Wild Wild West. The setting of the film is 1869, and stars the infamous James West and Artemus Gordon, played by Will Smith and Kevin Kline respectively. West, a finely dressed gunfighter and Gordon, a master of disguise, are Secret Service men summoned to Washington by the President. Their mission is to apprehend Dr. Loveless, an inventor who shoots bullets out of his wheelchair and wants to take over the country. Maybe I could figure out how to shoot bullets out of the end of my cane. Dr. Loveless uses a giant mechanical spider that has more fire power then a tank, to hunt down West and Gordon. While West and Gordon are fighting the spider, Dr. Loveless escapes and runs – or should I say rolls – away in an attempt to assassinate President Ulysses S. Grant. This is definitely not a must-see film, but it’s full of action and entertaining. I did have a hard time visualizing how they mixed 21st century science fiction with the old West of the 19th century. Of course, I’m blind and I have a hard time visualizing everything. This movie was okay and I give it a C rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
