The Muppets
Jays Rating: B. I'm glad I could hear it.
Actors: Amy Adams / Jason Segel
Director: James Bobin
People of all ages will enjoy one of the most popular 80’s kids television shows brought back to the big screen starring Kermit and Miss Piggy in The Muppets. Three of the biggest Muppet fans played by Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Walter (Voice of Peter Linz) overhear an oil tycoon played by Chris Cooper plan to tare down and drill for oil under the old Muppet Theater. The 3 go on a road trip to track down a depressed Kermit living in his mansion, Gonzo who is a Plummer, Miss Piggy who is a fashion editor in Paris, Fozzie Bear is in a low class tribute band and Animal is enrolled in a celebrity anger management program to team up and do one last show to save the theater. This film had everything a Muppet fan old and young would like. It had cameos from lots of television and movie stars, corny jokes, several of the old songs and even some fantastic new ones. It still had that playful self deprecating humor (kind of like me) that we all learned to love. Maybe this isn’t an award winning movie but some of the original music may receive some Oscar nods. I left the theater with a huge smile on my face and I’m giving it a B rating.

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
