The Simpson's Movie
After 14 years and over 400 episodes the television show “The Simpsons” jumps to the big screen in the animated film The Simpsons Movie. The droppings from Homer’s pet pig accidentally pollute Springfield Lake and turns it and the town into a toxic wasteland. The government quarantine Springfield and the angry town folks ascend on The Simpson family home but the family narrowly escape to hide in Alaska. Simpsons fans will probably love this film. The first half hour is full of laughs and then is settles down into mediocrity. It’s a step up from the show but over all its predictable and there isn’t anything you haven’t seen before. I should say nothing except Bart skateboarding in the nude. (Don’t worry, it doesn’t matter if you can see or not, I hear there is nothing to see that you have to worry about.) The kids will enjoy the slapstick and the grown-ups will chuckle at the adult humor and I’m giving it a B- rating.
This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA
Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
