Die Another Day

007 is back with cool cars, gorgeous women, and gadgets in the twentieth Bond film Die Another Day. The movie begins with a spectacular hovercraft chase in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. When the action is over James Bond, 007 (Pierce Brosnan) is betrayed, captured, imprisoned and tortured for 14 months. He is finally released and sent to a hospital ship to recuperate. For some reason that I couldn’t see, he has to escape from the ship and goes to Hong Kong to search for the person who set him up in Korea. The search takes him to Cuba where he meets Jinx (Halle Berry) a beautiful NSA agent on the trail of villain Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) who of course wants to take over the world. Bond and Jinx hook up (in more ways than one) to find Gustav. They head to Iceland where they find Gustav playing “Let’s sell the giant laser to the highest bidder” in his palace, which incidentally, is made of ice. This film is full of action, sexual innuendoes, and of course a bigger than life climax. Bronson is great as Bond and as die-hard 007 fans know, some of the action scenes are a little over the top. Personally, I could have done without the theme song by Madonna. In fact, the song was so bad I wish I were deaf instead of blind. This film is fun and entertaining and I give it a B rating.

This movie has been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.
I rely more on a good story line than special effects.
